I just wanted to get on here and wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving before I forget or run out of time... ;o)

J and I have a big weekend ahead of us...Friday night we are spending the night with some dear friend up in Crestline, Saturday we pick the girls up, and Sunday we start at our new church.
I am so thankful for everyone in my life!
Though this past year - especially the last few months - have been very challenging for us, I am so thankful to the friends and family who helped us through the challenges! We have surely come out on the other end better than before!

Pictures...
Here are a few pictures from our Arizona trip.
This buck was crazy! When we first drove by him we thought he was fake because he was standing so still and in the 'perfect' position...but when we turned around to take a closer look, we found him laying down. So, we stopped and hung out with him for a bit.
The Grand Canyon...I just can't get enough of this amazing place!!!!
Sunset Crater - one of my favorite places...I really don't know why - but for some reason I love it here. We hiked a mile at the base of the crater - and had a wonderful time talking and taking pictures!
Here is Glen Canyon...one of J's favorite places. I have to admin - I love it too...I just love being by the water and listening to it and all. It's so peaceful and beautiful there!
In the distance is Twin Peaks from the base of Sunset Crater...it is also an old volcano, just much larger!!!! Very amazing!!! Can you see the lava fields in the foreground? So cool!!!
This is Wupatki National Park...some old Ruins on the back side of Sunset Crater. It is so much fun to walk around these old buildings and look at the construction of it all. All of these sites are so quiet and peaceful! It was great to get away and relax...amidst all of our driving...and just take in the views.

Come and Gone
It's so funny how we look forward to something and can't wait for it to happen...then it is gone so fast! Oh well...
J and I just went on a week long vacation in Flagstaff AZ...we had such a great time! We went to several national parks in the area, including the Grand Canyon and Sunset Crater. Later this week I'll post some pictures to share with you.
Today was our last day at Oak Hills Church for Sunday services. It was a bitter sweet experience. We have been at Oak Hills church for a year now and made some great friend over there...we will miss them!
But now God has moved us on to a new chapter in our lives...we are attending The Oaks in San Marcos now. Starting this week J will be working there and Sunday will be the start of our attending.
We are both super excited about this move and have seen God's fingerprints all over it.
I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving this year!

Dinner time!
Okay - I tried something new for dinner last night.
With little in the house to work with - I went in search on the internet for a new recipe.
I found something called Beefy Cornbread Casserole.
I am always a little nervous when I am making something new, because I'm never sure how it will turn out...and I don't want to turn my family off from my adventurous side.
Anyway - I made that dish, some garlic mashed potatoes (as a redeeming dish) and some green beans. Well...everyone LOVED it!!!! They all went back for seconds!
I was so happy!

Hello again...
Hello all - well - I have two blog spots now! My first one is here: My personal site
I thought this one would be good for those moments I have something I'd like to share, but I'm not at home...where I need to be to blog on my other one! ;o)
We have so much going on right now it would be too much to put in one blog...so here's a recap...
J and I are going on vacation...WooHoo!!!... on Sunday - leaving for Flagstaff AZ and returning on Saturday.
We have recently moved...End of September...we love the new house!!!
J has accepted a new position at a new church, The Oaks, in San Marcos. We will start there permanently, on November 30th...it's a bitter sweet move, but we know that God has orchestrated it.
Well, that's all I have time for right now!
